Billings pro review5/8/2023 As soon as I saw this side of the company I left. And "just sleep in your car, I've done it before". If you call in sick you're obviously faking it because you're too lazy to work. Management will guilt you, threaten your job stability, and act like they are doing you a favor by paying you overtime for 20 hours a day, 7 days a week. (It isn't, unless it's 5ft or smaller, but even then.) But if time isn't managed- or maybe 1 month is not enough time to build a life- sized dino. If all of the different departments (from conceptualization, sculpting, painting, to welding and designing a robotic dinosaur from start to finish) are working in harmony without any 1 dept being late, its great. I felt so fulfilled by designing realistic, accurate life- sized dinosaurs. I often get asked how I could possibly leave a job sculpting animatronic dinosaurs? It sounds so fun, and it was, no matter how tired or bad the night before was, I loved coming into work. When I became a team leader in production, I was expected to deliver results that I was not given the power - more. I really loved this place and poured my heart and soul into the work but in the end I was still treated with suspicion and talked down to. Now for the negative: I worked here for almost 5 years, and ended up feeling that I'd never earned any trust or credibility with management. Lastly, and most importantly, I mean, it's giant robot dinosaurs - it's a lot of fun. During my time here I worked as an installer, painter, fabricator, mold maker, and a sculptor designing new creatures. They hire you for a specific role, but while it's hard to get a raise, it's easy to make a lateral move into another department that interests you. Another positive was that the exhibit installation/service trips for clients were centrally planned, scheduled and booked by the office, so all you had to do was show up and perform the work. I wasn't challenged when I needed to take a day off for a doctor's visit or family emergency. In my experience, they are extremely flexible when it comes to work/life balance compared to similar jobs. However, this was also my favorite job I've ever had, so I'll start with the positives which shouldn't be overlooked.Īll they require is an eagerness to learn and work your real "interview" is your performance in your first 2 weeks of training. what the other reviews are saying about management is true, and has been for a long time. I worked here from the start of 2015 until a couple years ago.
